This video was very helpful in understanding the process of appeal when we finally get our assessment. We will keep it for future reference.
Great job with the site!

Thanks for this info on the fair market value we are keeping up with property evaluations in our neighborhood especially homes being sold . Current ecomonic conditions are unsustainable and there is a limit to what property owners can afford to pay in taxes . We are grateful for Camden County Watchdogs . Let's help to return common sense to all forms of our government .

This video was very helpful. I think we need to give the homeowners tips on what to bring with them when they appeal their propperty. I have inlisted the help of my realtor who has shown me very few homes being sold in my neighborhood. She found only 4 land properties selling in last 6 mos in entire county. How can they raise the poperty value on so few sales. This shows a dramatic downturn in the real estate business in our county and i cannot understand increases in property values this year. Also, if you present a current apprasial of your property to the Tax Office and yours is lower than their evaulation what is the next step from them.

I went to the Tax Assessors Office in middle of August and filed an appeal on the assessment of my property in Laurel Landings. My property has been assessed each year, since buying in August 2005. This year, I printed out like properties of mine and found
one just as mine, where there was an error in baths, bedrooms, etc. Both of these homes are the same. Mine were correct as sold to me. The other, they had them listed as 3 bedrooms, when it really had 4. The baths are the same, but the other had 3 full baths, when it should have been 2 fulls and 1 half bath. The only difference is mine is flipped.
I discussed this with a staff member and was to get back with me. To date, no one has called or written me a letter. Laurel Landings has Section about 20+ homes that have never sold.

The county website is no useful information. Don't you think we have right to see data as entered in county records? Why we have to pay?
We should fire all those county official..they are sleeping while general public is having hardtime to put food on the table. How in a world this appraser reaised the value of the home? Are they drunk? or out of reality?
